• 2.21% Talispatra or Indian Silver Fir - Abies webbiana         
• 6.63 % Sonth or Adrak – Zingiber officinale      
• 8.84% Pippali (Long Pepper) – Piper longum
• 4.42% Black Pepper - Piper nigrum             
• 4.42% Vanshlochan (Tabashir) – Bamboo manna      
• 1.33% Dalchini (cinnamon) - Cinnamomum verum 
• 1.33% Green Cardamom (Elaichi) - Elettaria cardamomum           
• 70.8% Misri or rock candy (crystallized sugar lumps)

Dosage:

The effectual therapeutic dosage of Talisadi Churna usually varies from person to person depending upon the age, body strength, effects on appetite, severity, and condition of the patient. It is strongly recommended to consult an Ayurvedic doctor or practitioner as he or she would evaluate the patient’s indications, and past medical conditions and prescribe an effective dose for a specific time period.

Adults: 2-3 gm, along with honey or clarified butter or ghee twice a day after meals or as suggested by the ayurvedic doctor or health care provider.

Side Effects:

Thanks to the numerous health-promoting herbal ingredients, Talisadi Churna is extremely beneficial in recommended doses. But if it is consumed in excess or without prior consultation with a doctor, it can lead to side effects and allergic reactions including gastritis and a burning sensation. Since it already contains mishri, hence people suffering from diabetes should not consume it without a doctor’s recommendation.
